A popular scuba diving site and activity centre has mysteriously closed for good.
Based at a large flooded quarry near Chepstow, The National Diving & Activity Centre provided training for everyone from beginners to those requiring speciality diving courses.
The site also included an inflatable course, bungee jumps, paddle boarding and a 700m long zip wire.

Opened in 2003, a message posted on its Facebook page on Friday (February 18) announced, "The National Diving & Activity Centre is permanently closed.
"We are not taking bookings for leisure activities or public diving.
"We’d like to thank all our customers for their support over the years."
No reason has been given for the sudden closure, but hundreds have taken to social media to share their shock at the news.
"So sad to see this," posted John Parsons. "So many memories from my army days to teaching diving there to enjoying the inflatable assault course with my then eight-year-old."
Lisa Frew also wrote, "Gutted for the diving industry as a whole for losing such a great site," while Denny Jacko Jackson added, "That’s a massive shock, we loved the place."
