Popular Liverpool coffee shop opens new intimate basement bar

A popular city centre coffee shop has revealed its new hidden events space.

Bold Street Coffee has built up quite a reputation since opening its doors back in 2010, serving up everything from freshly made sandwiches and all day breakfast to lunch dishes and sweet treats. Now, the venue has opened a new bright and beautiful basement event space.

The award-winning coffee shop is opening its basement space, which can hold up to 40 people, for events or meetings. The room is available for events from 7.30pm to midnight, with the options to listen to your own music, use a 40in smart TV, and tuck into food from the shop.

The space can also be hired as a meeting room which seats up to ten people with packages available for pastries, fruit, lunch and unlimited tea and coffee. The basement space has been decked out in bright speckled flooring and teal hues and is adorned in plants and greenery. Free Wi-Fi is included as standard and guests will have exclusive access to a private coffee kiosk that can only be used by those booking the private space.

Matt Farrell, director of Bold Street Coffee, said: “Having this new event space adds a further dimension to Bold Street Coffee. Known and loved for its specialty coffee and dishes, this new basement space will give our guests the opportunity to host private events with us in the heart of Bold Street and prebook for large parties where our food and drinks will be available.

“The space has been designed to reflect bright and bold colours. It’s a welcoming environment and we’re really excited about having our loyal guests joining us for a different experience at Bold Street Coffee.”
