It is the end of an era down in Leith as the Bad Tempered Baker announced they will be returning home to Northern Ireland and that their unit in Leith is going up for lease.
In a post on their Instagram, Bad Tempered Baker said that they would be leaving the shop after six years, and the capital after living here for the last ten.

They say that they have chosen to move back to their hometown of Ballycastle in Northern Ireland.
As a result they are looking for new tenants for the shop with the lease becoming available in July.
In a post on Instagram, Bad Tempered Baker said: “After 6 brilliant years in our shop and 10 years living in Edinburgh, we have decided to move back to our home town of Ballycastle in Northern Ireland. So our awesome little shop needs some new tenants. The lease will be available from July so give us a shout if you’re interested? Thanks!!”
Customers were saddened by the move but wished them all the best in relocating to Northern Ireland.
Others appeared to be disappointed about losing the Edinburgh bakeries delicious cakes and brilliant coffee.
One customer commented: “Love visiting your shop- so many tasty treats. Good luck in the new adventure!”
Another said: “Oh this is so sad. But good luck for the future.”
Someone who appeared to be a regular customer said: “Good luck with the move guys. Gutted to see you go, some of the best coffee in Edinburgh! Hopefully I can pop in before you leave.”
Whilst a last commenter said: “Sad to see you go, hope you stay safe and definitely [have] the best cakes in town.”
The lease for the vacant bakery unit at 52 Queen Charlotte St, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 7EX will be available from July.
