Several popular spots in Los Angeles are currently closed for safety reasons, affecting both locals and tourists. These closures include Griffith Park, Lake Hollywood, Runyon Canyon Park, Los Angeles Zoo, Hollywood Reservoir, Hollywood Sign, and roads through the Sepulveda Basin in the San Fernando Valley.
City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson emphasized the importance of avoiding these areas for the time being. He urged people to refrain from visiting these locations and advised against unnecessary travel throughout the city.
Harris-Dawson specifically called on drivers to keep roads clear for public safety workers, stating, 'Nobody should be going to those places today. Whether you're on the west side, in the Valley, or anywhere in the city, if you can stay off the roads, please do so.'
These closures are part of the city's efforts to ensure public safety and prevent any potential risks to visitors and residents. It is crucial for everyone to adhere to these restrictions and prioritize safety during this time.
