In Glasgow, we love nothing more than a local family-run business doing well and it seems one of our own has recently hit the headlines and we should be shouting about it.
Celino's in the west end was founded by the family in 2017 on the back of the success of patriarch Natalino's first restaurant in Alexandra Parade in the East End, which he opened in the early 80s.
Located on Dumbarton Road, the team has continued to build on the established reputation of Celino's and have just recently received a highly sought-after award for any Italian restaurant, being crowned as having not only the best pizza in Scotland but also the whole of the UK by the Italian Awards.

The awards, which celebrate the very best of Italian Hospitality across the UK, and more locally, the lasting connection between Scotland and Italy, take place each year.
This year saw the entrants judged by a panel of esteemed independent judges including celebrity Italian chef Aldo Zilli.
And Thomas and Claudio from Celino's Westend were pictured receiving the UK National Pizza Championship Cup after winning the title of UK’s Best Pizza at the recent UK-wide Italian Awards.
Now found in the heart of Partick, as well as the UK's best pizza, you'll also find a well-stocked Italian delicatessen with a 9-metre-long deli counter, a coffee bar and a 140-seat trattoria.
Already hugely popular for its stunning deli products including charcuterie, artisan cheeses, fresh pasta, Sicilian pastries and ice cream.
As well as their freshly made coffee (Celino's also won Best Barista at this year's awards) and of course, the traditional menu with homemade fresh pasta dishes and fresh seafood and top service at their restaurant, it seems they'll now also be able to add the 'UK's best pizza' to that list.
