Popular Glasgow restaurant and bar announces its shock closure

A POPULAR Glasgow restaurant and bar has announced its shock closure.

The Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery on Allerdyce Court, in the city's Great Western Retail Park, revealed the news on social media.

The eatery said that Saturday, February 1 will be its last day of serving food.

After that, the venue's bar will be open on Sunday, February 2, Wednesday, February 5, and Thursday, February 6, with its last day of trading being Friday, February 7.

On Friday before shutting for the final time, the bar will stay open until 8pm to allow its regular customers the chance for one 'last drink'.

Announcing the news on Facebook, the food joint wrote: "Venue closure.

"Saturday, February 1, 2025, will be our last day for serving food.

"Bar will be open Sunday, February 2, Wednesday, February 5, and Thursday, February 6 with our final day of trade being Friday, February 7.

"On that final evening, we will stay open till 8pm to allow our regular customers the chance for one last drink at The Leven Valley.

"It has been a pleasure to serve you."

Regulars of the establishment flocked to the comments of the post to share their devastation about the news.

One said: "Will miss my visits. The food was amazing."

Another cried: "So sad. Been going here for years."

A third chimed: "Such a shame. Good luck to all the staff in getting employment elsewhere."
