They captioned the picture: "Coming soon humans of Leith, we are bringing all the best of The Dog House down to you, keep your peepers peeled for more info soon! EXCITED."

While images on the social media pages show the new pub being painted a bright blue with the Dog House's signature pink tones complimenting it.

A delicious cocktail menu has also been shared ahead of opening with tipples including a Bloodhound Margarita with tequila, Cointreau and blood orange, the Auld Reekie which appears to be a smoky twist on an Espresso Martini and the Flossy a sweet treat inspired by the fairground favourite.

The original bar on Clerk Street is described as "a sanctuary for the weird and wonderful" and "a place where the misfit fits" and opened back in 2015.

Since the unique pub took over from McSorley's, Dog House has been a much-loved Newington boozer regularly hosting community events, live music, quizzes and baffling customers with the quirky decor.

It is not the first Southside institution to open a second branch in Leith with Brass Monkey taking over the Horseshoe Bar in 2011 to open up their second spot.
