A popular Edinburgh west end burger joint have announced their closure just months after pleading with customers to order directly instead of using delivery couriers.
Burger Mama, on Haymarket Terrace, posted an emotional goodbye to customers over Instagram, citing the rising energy costs and stock prices as the main reason for closing their second Edinburgh store.
In October, they issued a plea over social media saying that they are losing 30 per cent of profits to delivery companies before even opening up for the day and asked customers to order using their app.

As businesses across the sector are finding it increasingly difficult to stay afloat during one of the country's worst financial period's, Burger Mama informed customers that their west end store will close on Saturday, December 10.
They said: "Dear loyal Burger Lovers we’re very sad to bring you the news that Burger Mama Westside must close.
"The hospitality landscape has changed dramatically in the past year; the rising costs of energy and stock combined with our refusal to compromise on quality has meant business is no longer viable at the Haymarket location. BM Westside will close this Saturday night, 10th December."
In February, Burger Mama opened their first stand-alone store in the Haymarket area following a successful spell at the Lioness of Leith pub and restaurant, where they will remain for the time being.
They added: "Fear not, our mothership restaurant at the Lioness of Leith remains strong and we shall consolidate, regroup and plan our next move!
"A massive thanks to our staff and to all our customers for your support over the past year! We hope to see you at Burger Mama @ The Lioness of Leith very soon!!"
