A popular Dumfries venue that was under threat of permanent closure last year has been given a makeover.
The Railway Club has been undergoing refurbishment for the last few months ahead of its members and friends night on Saturday.
The event is free and anyone can attend to see the new-look club.
Secretary Hazel Galloway said: “It’s been revamped and it’s looking good.
“We’re having a buffet dance and it’s free for everyone.
“It’s to let people know we’re still here and we have more than 400 members now and we have raffles every week.
“Any money we make off the raffles we put forward for this night.
“It’s a thank you to all of the members for their custom and people holding their functions there.”
Covid-19 saw the Railway shut its doors throughout the pandemic and the Leafield Road venue was at risk of permanent closure last year but members voted to save it.
A new committee was set up in February and work has been ongoing since then to update the place.
Hazel said: “It’s needed a bit of attention and that’s what we’ve given it.
“We’re looking for a couple of committee members and we’d like younger people to give us their insight into what we’re doing.
“It’s been known as an old man or old woman’s bit and we want to change that.”
The snooker room is available to be booked and the hall can also be booked by contacting the Railway Club on 01387 254499. There is weekly bingo every Sunday between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
Anyone interested in joining the committee is also asked to contact the club.
