A popular sustainable clothing chain is opening a new store in a Nottinghamshire town - and shoppers are thrilled with the new addition. White Rose, which has branches across Nottingham, will open in High Road, Beeston, near CEX.
White Rose, which has a number of stores in Nottingham city centre, has confirmed to Nottinghamshire Live that the current High Road shop will remain when the other opens.
21-year-old student Jess Smith, who lives in Beeston, said: “I pop into White Rose all the time when I’m in Beeston and in town, I think they sell some really cool bits.”

Jess added: “I’ve bought a lot from White Rose over the years so I think that if a shop does well why not open another one?”
White Rose is a social enterprise set up by two Nottingham University students in 2009. Since then, the brand has most certainly grown.
Samantha Gordon, 32, lives in Stapleford. Samantha who is currently a full-time mum said: “I like White Rose, the staff are always friendly and I’ve gotten sunglasses and quite a bit of jewellery from there before. They’re clearly popular.”
Samantha added: “Many people are choosing to shop sustainably now and there aren’t that many clothes shops in Beeston so I don’t see a problem with having another White Rose. “Yes, there’s already one but there’s also more than one coffee shop in Beeston.”
Ian Henry, 56 lives in Beeston. He said: “White Rose is everywhere in town and there’s one in Beeston, which is fine, it seems to do well but surely, there doesn’t need to be another one.”
Now retired, Ian added: “There are a lot of students in Beeston so I can see an appeal for somewhere like White Rose but in terms of a second shop, I think it’s unnecessary.”
