Popular café The Juice Jar has opened on Clifton Triangle

Earlier this year it was announced that a popular Belfast Café would be opening a Bristol branch. The Juice Jar has now opened its doors specialising in freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, milkshakes and healthy food options.

The menu of the new Clifton Triangle spot is perfect for those who enjoy a healthy element to their diet. Offering everything from 'lean green' smoothies to Chorizo melts and Acai bowls - their food options will leave anyone spoilt for choice.

Speaking to Bristol Live, Sam Sheppard, owner of The Juice Jar, said: "I know Bristol very well as I lived around the Somerset area for three years and used to travel to Bristol every weekend. I love the city and think it's beautiful. It's also clearly one of the fastest growing in the UK.

"For me, Bristol has a big student population that's very active politically and Bristol has so much to offer in terms of the young population, being health-focused - which is everything else we're hoping to achieve with the brand.

"Although our shop may look small, we've got loads of space with our 2000 sq/ft basement area which we spent a lot of money to make look the part, we want to make it an area for people to be seated in a sort of cocktail bar setting with live music, similar to what we have in Ireland.

"With Bristol's strong presence of a student population, not even necessarily English, and with Clifton being one of the most beautiful areas in Bristol, so we are all excited to finally be a part of it and we hope we can add some value."

The brand new City Centre hotspot is located in a prime spot on Queens Rd, nearby popular venues such as the Bristol Museum. They opened their doors on April 4 and will be open from Monday-Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday and Sunday's from 10am-6pm.
