Popular Brie and Camembert cheese products recalled from Tesco, Supervalu and Dunnes

A popular brand of Camembert and Brie sold in Tesco and Supervalu stores across Ireland have been recalled by the Food Safety Association of Ireland.

According to a notice published on the FSAI website, the Le Rustique branded cheese is not labelled in English and contains milk.

This makes them unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or are intolerant to milk, and therefore the association has chosen to recall the products.

The following batches are included in the recall where ingredients are not listed in English - including the presence of milk:

“The implicated batches contain milk. This may make the batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk.”

Customers can return these products to their point of purchase and receive a refund or exchange for a version of the product that is not included in the recall.

Anyone who is intolerant to milk is advised not to east either of these products, as they will result in illness.
