An Ayrshire fireworks display will continue as normal after there were fears it would be cancelled.
The annual November pyrotechnic event at McGavin Park, which features a low noise show for young kids and a main display to entertain the masses, was at risk of either scaling back or being axed altogether.
However, organisers of the Kilwinning display have announced that it's back to business and they're planning this year's show.
Kilwinning Community Events' committee has admitted, though, that a fundraising drive will be needed to ensure the budget allows them to put on the event they want for future years.
Organisers said on social media: "We are pleased to say that the committee has agreed that Kilwinning Community Fireworks must go ahead in November 2023.
"The concern was based on the lack of donations to cover costs last year which was largely we assume due to the headlines over the cost-of-living crisis. We appreciated all feedback from visitors and opinions.
"We know that any concerns the event would be cancelled or cut back did not sit well with many.
"The committee's decision to proceed was helped in part with two £300 donations from Pennyburn Tenants and Residents Association and Palmer Brothers of Kilwinning. We are extremely grateful for this support.
"We will confirm the date and timings nearer November but if you have any ideas for fundraising or can offer support please do get in touch."
