An Ayrshire chippy has been crowned the best in the UK.
The Fish Works in Largs has been named as having the ‘Best Quality Fish and Chips’ in the UK in a prestigious competition run by industry experts.
The seaside favourite was given the golden approval by The National Federation of Fish Friers.
The organisation picked out the Largs diner for the Quality Accreditation category at the National Fish and Chip Awards 2023.
The eaterie which sits on the coastal town’s stunning promenade was given the award for providing the “highest standard in fish and chips.”
The family-run business, which is run by husband and wife team Ross and Tiffny Irvin, took to Facebook to share their delight.
