American fried chicken chain Popeyes is opening its first ever drive-thru restaurant in the UK next month.
The new site, which used to be KFC, is situated at Parkgate Shopping Centre in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
Popeyes' drive-thru will have 104 seats indoors and an outside dining area, a dual-ordering lane to reduce vehicle queues, and a car park.
The restaurant will officially open its doors, and windows, to customers on Monday, May 15 at 11am.
The drive-thru site was first announced in February this year when the chicken chain shared that it planned to open seven new sites over the course of a few months.
The popularity of Popeyes, which is famed for its chicken sandwiches and secret Louisiana-inspired seasonings, has exploded since opening its first UK site in Stratford in 2021.
Since then, the chain has around 17 restaurants nationwide - and has a goal of opening 20 more this year.
Just last week, Popeyes said it was to open three more sites in London.
