Highlighting the contributions of migrant workers to Singapore's success, Pope Francis advocated for fair wages and dignified working conditions, a significant issue in a country without a minimum wage policy.

Singapore's remarkable economic growth, transforming it into a global financial hub, was lauded by Pope Francis, despite his historical critique of capitalism's excesses. The country's high GDP per capita and reliance on a foreign workforce, including migrant laborers facing rights abuses, were also noted.
