Pop star boycotts Rihanna's Fenty line as she invites Johnny Depp to lingerie show

Olly Alexander has announced he won’t be wearing Rihanna’s clothes again after Johnny Depp was reported to have a starring role in her upcoming show.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star will not be strutting his stuff down the runway at the Savage Fenty X Vol 4 fashion show .

Instead the 59-year-old actor is set to feature in the show's "star" moments – becoming the first man to do so.

Past celebs who have taken this slot include supermodel Cindy Crawford and singer Erykah Badu.

It’s A Sin star Olly posted a sad face in reaction to a Pop Crave tweet that read: “Depp will become the first man to have his own spotlight segment at Rihanna ’s Savage X Fenty fashion show.”

Responding to Olly’s upset, a fan wrote: “But, Savage X Fenty is you baby... you wear it so well.”

“Thank you but after this news I won’t be wearing it anymore,” the Years & Years singer replied.

Olly has modelled for Savage X Fenty in the past and was enlisted to take part in their Valentine’s campaign in February this year.

The star posed in a red harness, which later sold out, and satin boxers. Posting the pics as part of a paid partnership on Instagram, he wrote: “Your love is a hallucination.”

Rihanna is said to have made the decision to include Johnny in this year's Savage X Fenty spectacular.

The show is described as a "fashion experience" and will see Cara Delevingne and Irina Shayk take to the runway.

Johnny, who has been an ambassador for Dior since 2015, has apparently already filmed his cameo, with a source telling TMZ it is "cool and chic".

The show is set to debut on Prime Video on November 9.

The Mirror has approached representatives of Johnny and Rihanna for comment.

News of Johnny's involvement in Rihanna’s show has also divided social media users, in light of his recent libel trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Heard accused Depp of abusing her during their 15-month marriage – something Depp has always denied.

He sued her for defamation after she wrote an opinion piece in The Washington Post, which although didn’t name him, detailed the alleged abuse.

A jury sided with Depp and ordered Heard to pay him $10 million (£8 million) in June this year.

However, Depp lost another libel case in the UK with The Sun newspaper over an article which branded him a ‘wife beater’.

Heard is reportedly set to appeal the US jury decision, so we may see them both back in court again soon.
