Pop jukebox musical & Juliet extends West End run at Shaftesbury Theatre

This place's about to blow — jukebox musical & Juliet has extended its run at the Shaftesbury Theatre.

The new joy-filled interpretation of Shakespeare’s story will now continue until October this year.

Featuring the music of prolific songwriter Max Martin, & Juliet is woven with songs by Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry.

The Standard’s review of & Juliet called the musical “an absolute blast”.

Star of the show Miriam-Teak Lee will remain in the role of Juliet, who decides against taking her own life after Romeo’s death and instead goes on a trip to Paris with her friends.

Oliver Tompsett, David Bedella, Cassidy Janson, Arun Blair-Mangat, Melanie La Barrie, Jordan Luke Gage and Tim Mahendran will also continue in the lead cast.

The show, written by David West Read, is directed by Luke Sheppard, with choreography by Jennifer Weber, set design by Soutra Gilmour, costume design by Paloma Young, sound by Gareth Owen, lighting by Howard Hudson and musical arrangements by Bill Sherman and Dominic Fallacaro.
