Pool of 41 prospective players for 2024 US Olympic team has a Chicago Bull in it

The Chicago Bulls have a player on their roster that has made the cut to be included in the pool of 41 players selected to be eligible to make Team USA. That player could join the 12-man roster for the US National Team for men’s basketball in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, according to recent reporting from USA TODAY’s Jeff Zillgitt.

The Chicago player in question would be guard Alex Caruso, who is joined by a pair of Bulls alumni as well. They include the Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler and Milwaukee Bucks big man Bobby Portis. The pool of 41 players includes 28 who have previously suited up for Team USA in FIBA World Cup or Olympic play, and have brought home 23 Gold Medals in FIBA or Olympic play.

The pool is populated by a number of the top stars in the league, including Jaylen Brown, Stephen Curry, James Harden, LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and Jayson Tatum.

Several up-and-coming players also made the cut, such as Paolo Banchero, Desmond Bane, Anthony Edwards, Chet Holmgren, and Austin Reaves.
