POLL: Who wins Sunday’s Patriots-Titans game?

The New England Patriots will take on the Tennessee Titans as they look to win their second game in a row on Sunday afternoon.

The Patriots are coming off a thrilling 25-22 upset victory over the New York Jets last week. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett saved the day for the Patriots, after rookie Drake Maye went down with a concussion following a hit from Jets linebacker Jamien Sherwood.

Brissett had a strong afternoon going 15-of-24 passing for 132 yards.

However, it was the play of running back Rhamondre Stevenson that helped New England seal the deal. He had 20 carries for 48 yards and two touchdowns. One of the touchdowns was on a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter. Contributions from receiver Kayshon Boutte were also highlighted in the victory.

Meanwhile, the Titans are looking to rebound after a 52-14 loss at the hands of the Detroit Lions. It was a game where the offense struggled. Quarterback Mason Rudolph went 22-of-38 passing on the afternoon for 266 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.

If there were any positives to take away from the loss, it was the play of the Titans’ ground game. They accumulated 158 rushing yards and one touchdown. Tony Pollard led the way with 20 carries for 94 yards, while Rudolph recorded the other rushing touchdown on a day when he had four carries for 29 yards.

All told, it was a rough day for the Titans, who have lost five of their last six games.

The Patriots lead the all-time series between the two teams by a 26-18-1 margin. They also won the last contest in 2021 by a 36-13 score.

Maye has not been ruled out of Sunday’s game as of yet. So there’s still a chance he could suit up for the Patriots. However, the team does have a quarterback plan in place if he doesn’t pass concussion protocol.
