Poll: Who wins in Sunday’s Patriots-49ers game?

The New England Patriots will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak when taking on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

They are coming off back-to-back losses to the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks. San Francisco knows a thing or two about consecutive losses considering they’ve dropped their last two games to the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings.

The 49ers will be without star running back Christian McCaffrey. However, they have been able to supplement offensive production in other ways. Brock Purdy leads the charge for the team at the quarterback position. He has thrown for 842 yards and four touchdowns so far this season.

McCaffrey’s absence has led to the emergence of running back Jordan Mason, who has 67 carries for 324 yards and two touchdowns. He is coming off a 100-yard performance against the Rams last Sunday.

Perhaps one of the biggest surprises for San Francisco is the play of wide receiver Jauan Jennings, who has 18 catches for 276 yards and two touchdowns.

On the New England side of things, they will look to bounce back from a lopsided loss to the Jets last Thursday. Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett went 12-of-18 for 98 yards on the night, while rookie Drake Maye came into the game late in the fourth quarter and went 4-of-8 passing for 22 yards.

There was more production from the receiver position as well with wideout Demario Douglas recording seven catches for 69 yards. This came after he was disappointed with his usage in the previous loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The last time the Patriots and 49ers met was in 2020. San Francisco secured the victory by a 33-6 margin. They lead the all-time series with a 9-5 record.
