Poll: Who should replace Douglas Ross as Scottish Tory leader?

ON Monday, Russell Findlay became the first Scottish Tory to throw his hat into the ring to replace Douglas Ross as his party’s leader.

The exact timeline of the leadership contest is unclear although it is expected that more names will enter the race.

It comes as the Conservative Party also announced that Rishi Sunak’s replacement would not be announced until November 2.

The party said the former prime minister, who presided over the party’s worst-ever election defeat on July 4, will remain acting leader until that date.

But we want to know who YOU would like to see replace Douglas Ross. Cast your vote in the poll below.

Another ongoing debate in the Scottish Tories is whether or not they should break away from the UK party.

It’s an idea Murdo Fraser has previously argued for while Tory MSP Liam Kerr said it was “important” the idea was reconsidered during the upcoming leadership contest with “so much having happened.
