A recent Marquette Law School poll conducted in late January and early February sheds light on President Donald Trump's approval ratings and public opinion on his early actions as he begins his second term. The survey, which included 1,018 US adults, revealed a mixed response to Trump's performance.
According to the poll, 48% of Americans approve of Trump's job performance, while 52% disapprove. These ratings are consistent with a recent Pew Research Center survey and slightly lower than a CBS/YouGov poll, which showed 53% approval for Trump.

Interestingly, the survey found that opinions on Trump were divided, with 47% of respondents having both positive and negative views, 14% expressing only positive comments, and 36% having solely negative opinions.
One of the key findings of the poll was the public's stance on immigration policies. The majority of Americans (60%) supported deporting immigrants living in the US illegally back to their home countries, while 40% were opposed. However, when asked about deporting immigrants who have resided in the US for years, hold jobs, and have no criminal record, 57% were against it, with only 43% in favor.
The Marquette Law School poll was conducted using a nationally representative online panel and has a margin of sampling error of +/-3.5 percentage points. The results provide valuable insights into public sentiment towards President Trump's second term and highlight the varying opinions on his early actions.
