A recent poll released on Sunday revealed that Americans' opinions about Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are closely split. According to the poll, 43% of respondents view Vice President Harris favorably, while the same percentage view her unfavorably. Additionally, 14% of respondents stated that they have no opinion about her.

Compared to a previous poll released the week before, Vice President Harris saw an improvement in her favorability ratings, with 35% viewing her favorably and 46% unfavorably in the earlier poll.

Former President Trump has a 36% favorable and 52% unfavorable rating.

Senator JD Vance's unfavorable rating rose to 39%.

Former President Donald Trump's ratings currently stand at 36% favorable and 52% unfavorable. While his favorability rating has slightly decreased since the previous week, it remains higher than most of his ratings during this campaign cycle.

Senator JD Vance of Ohio, Trump's running mate, experienced a rise in negative sentiment, with 39% of respondents viewing him unfavorably compared to 31% in the previous week. This shift was primarily due to a decrease in the number of respondents who had no opinion about him.

The poll also highlighted that 7% of Americans hold negative views of both Harris and Trump, a decrease from the 15% who expressed negative views of both Biden and Trump in the previous week.

Among Democrats, 88% stated that they are at least somewhat enthusiastic about Harris as the Democratic nominee for president, while 82% of Republicans expressed similar enthusiasm for Trump as the GOP nominee.

Overall, approximately half of Americans (48%) expressed enthusiasm about Harris becoming the Democratic nominee, while 39% expressed enthusiasm for Trump as the GOP nominee. The survey did not directly inquire about vote preference.

The survey, which polled 1,200 US adults on July 26-27 using a nationally representative online panel, has a margin of error of 3.0 percentage points.
