Police are asking for help tracing a wanted man who is in breach of a court order.
Stephen Rimmer, of no fixed abode, was in Liverpool Crown Court in February 2021 where a jury heard his catalogue of appalling domestic abuse. The abuse included harassment in August 2008, after repeatedly trying to contact an ex-partner, criminal damage in 2009, after trying to get into the home of an ex-partner and kicking her door and common assault in March 2013, after hitting an ex-partner to the head with a small table at her friend's house
Other incidents included perverting the course of justice in April 2013, after trying to get the victim of the previous attack to retract her complaint, two counts of battery against his ex partner in October 2014, where he slapped her in the head, grabbed around the neck and strangled for a short period, then to have briefly strangled for a second time

As part of his most recent sentence Rimmer had a five-year restraining order imposed on him to protect his ex partner. Police are now asking for help the trace the 39-year-old after he breached a court order.
Rimmer is described as white, 6’2” tall with a medium build and shaved ginger hair. He has links to the Warrington and Widnes area.
