Police are urging the public to steer clear of a robber who fled a mental health ward and headed for Waterloo station.

Officers have launched a manhunt for James Manley, 48, who was last seen in Victoria Park, east London at 11.15am on June 8.

He was convicted of a robbery two years ago and he had been detained under the Mental Health Act, police said.

Manley is believed to have fled the mental health facility and travelled through Waterloo Station on the afternoon of June 8.

He is described as a male of large build, bald with lots of scars on his head.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, white trainers, grey shorts, black T-shirt and glasses

Police are advising the public not to approach him and, if seen, please call 999 immediately, quoting CAD 2982/08June.
