Police are renewing an appeal for information on a pensioner who has been missing for more than a week.
Vivian Davies from Port Talbot disappeared after going for a walk on Sunday, May 21, prompting a large search operation by police and members of the public on nearby mountains. Eight days after 87-year-old was last seen officers say they are very concerned for his welfare and are asking anyone with information to come forward - and they are urging anyone who spots him to keep him in sight until help arrives.
Mr Davies was last seen on Maes Ty Canol, Baglan, at around 10am on May 21, and it is thought he may have walked to the Mynydd Dinas area or the Jersey Park "incline". He is descried as being 5ft 2in tall and of a slim build, and has grey hair. It is believed he was wearing a stripy top and knee-length dark shorts, and was carrying a rucksack
South Wales Police inspector David Price said: "We are continuing to appeal for information concerning the whereabouts of Vivian Davies who has not been seen since Sunday, 21 May, 2023. Since Vivian was reported missing, we are continuing to pursue all lines of enquiry and thank the public for all their support to date.
"We, and Vivian's family, are very concerned for Vivian's welfare and continue to appeal to anyone who has any information which might help us to find him. If you believe you may have sighted Vivian, we ask that you call police as soon as possible and keep him in sight until officers arrive."
