Merseyside police issued an update after a woman was arrested on suspicion of murder.
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital at around 12.50am on Friday, March 24 after officers were called to reports of a disturbance. The man died a short time later.
Detectives arrested a 38-year-old woman from Bootle on suspicion of murder. The woman has now been bailed as enquiries continue.

A post-mortem examination has taken place but Merseyside police will not yet confirming a cause of death, as toxicology reports are still to be carried out.
Detective Chief Inspector Sue Hinds said on Friday: "We are still keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard a disturbance last night, or may have captured anything when passing, either on CCTV or dashcam footage, or doorbell devices."
