A driver was arrested after a car smashed into a community centre, forcing a road in Liverpool to be closed.
Officers from Merseyside Police were called just before 10.25am on Sunday to the junction of Maiden Lane and Knocklaid Road in Clubmoor to reports of a crash. Police said a car left the road and crashed into the side wall of My Clubmoor Community Hub.
Pictures of the scene on Sunday showed a cordon surrounding the centre and the side wall damaged, with dozens of bricks laying on the floor. On Sunday, the community centre confirmed on Facebook its indoor activities were suspended.

A spokesperson said: "We are sorry to inform you that our hub activities will be suspended until our building can be made safe due to a driver who has taken out part of our building. Our outdoor activities will not be affected, no one was seriously injured."
The road was closed following the crash and a force incident manager for Merseyside Police said this was "to facilitate the removal of the vehicle" and no injuries were reported. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police's road policing unit said the driver was arrested at the scene.
In a tweet on Sunday, they said: "Maiden Lane at the junction with Knocklaid Road, Clubmoor, was closed earlier today after a vehicle left the road and collided with the Community Centre. The driver was arrested at scene. The road has now been cleared and reopened."
