Police trying to trace missing Ayrshire man who may be in Glasgow area

Police Scotland are appealing for information to help trace William Dunne from Irvine. The 47-year-old was in Aberlour Road in the morning of Thursday, 1 September, 2022.

He is described as 5 ft 4 inches tall, of stocky build, with a shaved head. He was wearing glasses and has a trimmed beard. He has tattoos on both wrists.

He was wearing blue jeans, white, red and black Nike Air max trainers, a lightweight cream rain jacket and grey cap with ‘The Beatles’ on the front.

Police Sergeant Martin Fraser of Irvine Police Office said: “We are growingly increasingly concerned for the welfare of William.

“We believe that William boarded a train from Ayrshire at around 11.15am heading for Glasgow. He could possibly be in Glasgow or he may have travelled back to the Ayrshire area.

“I would ask that anyone who knows his whereabouts get in touch with us on 101, quoting incident number 1131 of 1 September.”
