Police tape off Glasgow street after man dies following 'disturbance'

A MAN has died after a "disturbance" at a house in Glasgow.

Police say they were called to the incident at around 1am on Brock Road in Pollok this morning (Tuesday, June 4).

The force says they received a report of an alleged disturbance and a man being found injured at a property in the area.

Following that, a 49-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, a 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident.

Police have been pictured in the area this morning following the incident.

The street has been taped off while forensics have also been spotted.

On top of that, police have also closed off Hartstone Road in the area in relation to the alleged disturbance.

An investigation into the incident is underway.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 1am on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, police received a report of a disturbance and a man being found injured at a property on Brock Road, Glasgow.

“A 49-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

“A 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.”
