Emergency crews have surrounded Trump Tower in Chicago after reports of a woman entering the hotel armed with a rifle.
Reports of the woman carrying an assault rifle has sparked a massive police presence, with armed SWAT teams in position, and people being urged to avoid the area.
Chicago Police said there was a "call of service" at Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago, Illinois, but did not provide further information, reports the Mirror.
The reportedly armed woman was said to be involved in a "domestic-related incident" and then entered the building. At least one police helicopter is also at the scene and the road outside has been closed in both directions.
Multiple police vehicles and officers can be seen in the area near and around the entrance of the plush hotel.
The woman was seen brandishing a rifle and entering the Trump Tower at around 11.35am local time (5.35 pm BST), police sources told the Chicago Sun.
ABC reported Maher Kawash wrote on Twitter: "Massive police/ SWAT presence at the Trump Tower in Chicago as Wabash Ave is shut down.
"Chicago Police could only confirm there was a “call of service” & we are awaiting more details. Police clearing people out from the area."
