Police swoop on Dundee street after reports of serious late-night disturbance

Police swooped on a Dundee street after a serious late-night disturbance.

The incident happened in the city’s Court Street at about 10.10pm on Monday night.

At least two police vehicles attended a block including a car and riot van.

Witnesses described hearing a large disturbance before officers turned up.

One local described the scene to Dundee Live.

He said: “We heard a lot off banging and shouting late in the evening.

“The police turned up pretty quickly and went into the block.

“It looks like they led someone away about 20 minutes later.

“It wasn’t clear if anyone was hurt - I didn’t see any ambulances or other emergency vehicles.”

A spokesperson for Police Scotland told Dundee Live: "Officers attended reports of a disturbance at Court Street, Dundee at around 10.10pm on Monday, 4 April, 2022. Both parties were given advice."
