Police are continuing to investigate a stabbing that left a man in need of urgent life-saving treatment in south Manchester.
Officers cordoned off Rutherford Avenue, in Rusholme, just before 9pm on Saturday (April 8) after reports of a serious assault and found a man injured with stab wounds.
The victim was quickly given life-saving treatment at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to hospital in a serious, but stable condition. Pictures taken at the scene after the incident showed the remains of police tape, debris and blood in the road.

In an update, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made in relation to the incident. It was initially believed the attack happened after a road traffic incident, with detectives following up a number of lines of enquiry.
Previously, Inspector Richard Flanagan, of GMP's City of Manchester district, said: "There is a scene in place while officers carry out an investigation into the incident.
"We believe this to be an isolated and random incident that has resulted from a road traffic incident when a number of offenders have left a vehicle to attack the victim."
