Police statement as man collapsed in busy Nottingham street

Nottinghamshire Police has issued a statement after reports of a man collapsed in a busy residential street. Officers have cordoned off Norton Street, in Radford, on Saturday morning, June 17.

Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said officers were called to the scene at 10.25am. East Midlands Ambulance Service were also called to the scene.

Despite being provided first aid by both police and paramedics, the man was declared deceased later at Queen's Medical Centre. Police are content there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this death.

Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said in his statement: "Police were called to Norton Street Radford at 1025 hrs 17/06/23 following reports of a collapsed male.

"Police and EMAS provided first aid but unfortunately the male was later declared deceased at the QMC. Police investigating the circumstances are content there are no suspicious circumstances and will be preparing a file for the coroner."
