A number of roads around the front of Leeds Train Station were closed this morning (Wednesday) by police following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
Boar Lane, New Station Road and Mill Hill were all closed after police were called to the station at 5.47am today. The woman was taken to a place of safety shortly after 7am and detained under the Mental Health Act.
The roads reopened again some time later and traffic has now returned to normal.

The closure caused traffic in the city centre and bus routes had to be diverted while police worked at the scene.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police were called to the line in Leeds at 5.47am today (6 April) following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
"Officers attended and the woman was taken to a place of safety at just after 7am before being detained under the Mental Health Act."
