A street in the Wyndford area of Maryhill has been cordoned off by police after an officer was assaulted.
The incident happened earlier this morning with police taping off Wyndford Drive. Reports on social media stated that there was a large police presence in the area from around 7.30am.
Police have since confirmed that an officer was assaulted while undertaking general enquiries in the area, with the injured officer being taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

A 26-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the incident and police have reassured the public that the area is now safe and there is no threat to the wider community.
Superintendent Ross Allan, of Greater Glasgow Division, said: “A police officer was assaulted while carrying out enquiries at a property in the Wyndford Drive area of Glasgow around 7.30am on Friday, 23 September, 2022.
“The officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
“A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
“This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community.”
