Police have seized a number of off-road bikes that were being driven dangerously and allegedly used for a number of crimes in Salford. Working with housing provider Salix Homes, Salford South East Neighbourhood Police Team have recovered four stolen motorbikes found in an alleyway at the back of Chambersfield Court in Ordsall.
The bikes have been forensically recovered and enquires are ongoing. The bikes are believed to have been used in a number of crimes across Salford including motor bike thefts, personal robberies, phone thefts and drug dealing.
The operation was set up due to reports of antisocial behaviour in Ordsall. Police say for the last month there has been an increase of issues involving off-road bikes with masked up riders seen driving dangerously, causing damage to the park and involved in drug dealing.

A statement by GMP Salford read: "Over the last few weeks the Salford South East Neighbourhood Police Team have been involved in a piece of joint work with Salix Homes Housing. This work relates to the ongoing Anti-Social Behaviour in the Ordsall Area.
"Over the last month there has been a significant increase in issues surrounding off-road bikes around the Ordsall area. The riders of these off-road bikes, who are often seen wearing full face coverings, have been seen driving dangerously, causing damage to the park and involved in drug dealing.
"As a result of this ongoing work, Salford South East Neighbourhood Team attend Chambersfield Court Ordsall this morning where 4x stolen motor bikes were recovered in an alley way at the back of Chambersfield Court. These bikes have been forensically recovered and enquires are ongoing.
"The bikes are believed to have been used in a number of crimes across Salford including further motor bike thefts, personal robberies, phone thefts and drug dealing."
