In a statement on Facebook GMP Tameside South and West said: "On Thursday, March 30, two offenders were arrested following reports of theft from Crown Point Shopping Centre in Denton. Offenders attempted to evade officers by leaving the site in a getaway vehicle only to be pursued by Neighbourhood officers.
"The driver was detained and over £700 of stolen goods were recovered. It was discovered on checks that the driver was also disqualified from driving, so the vehicle was seized for no insurance and the offenders now await their day in court."
