Police seeking information on off-road quad bike use after spate of incidents in Airdrie

Lanarkshire police are keen to hear from anyone with information relating to off-road quad bike use following a spate of incidents in Airdrie.

"Environmental damage" has been caused in areas of Whinhall, as well as villages Caldercruix and Plains.

A police spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live : "Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have information on who is using off-road quad bikes within our local communities, both on our public roadways and also on areas of common ground.

"Not only is this a crime, but there is a real risk of injury and also there are increasing examples of environmental damage being caused.

"Areas currently being affected are Caldercruix, Plains and Whinhall in Airdrie.

"If you can assist your local police in tackling this issue, please pass information to us by calling 101, or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via its website.
