Police seek man who punched TfL worker to the floor after being challenged over not having a ticket

Police want to speak to this man over the Edgware Road Tube assault - (BTP)

Police want to speak to this man after a member of TfL staff was assaulted at Edgware Road Tube station after challenging a passenger about their ticket.

The victim was hit several times and pushed to the floor after quizzing a passenger who walked through the station’s barrier without buying a ticket on the Bakerloo Line at around 4.30pm on December 13.

Issuing an appeal on Wednesday, detectives with the British Transport Police said they believed the man pictured could have information to help with their inquiry.

They urged anyone who recognises him to make contact with police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 482 of 13 December.

Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
