Police searching for Wallsend man wanted in connection with assault and stalking offences

Police are searching for a Wallsend man wanted in connection with alleged stalking offences.

Joshua Aston, 29, is wanted in connection with assault and stalking offences and is believed to be actively evading arrest.

Northumbria Police have been carrying out searches at a number of addresses and locations where Aston is known to frequent.

He lives a "transient lifestyle" and could be residing in the Wallsend, Byker or Newcastle city centre areas, officers say.

Now officers are appealing to the public for help in a bid to bring him into custody.

Anyone who has seen him or believes they may know where he may be staying, is asked to contact the police immediately.

Aston, or anyone who has seen him, is asked to call 101 quoting reference NP-20211115-0316.

Alternatively, you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by ringing 0800 555 111.
