Detectives are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with information, and described the attacked as being a white male, aged around 15 to 16 years old, of slim build, with dark, curly hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red top and dark shorts.
Detective Constable Iain McGill said: “Inquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact us.
“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time who may have dash-cam footage to come forward.”
