Police flooded an area of Leeds city centre earlier this morning and sealed off a major junction after reports of an early morning attack.
A large section of a junction near Briggate and Call Lane was cordoned off by West Yorkshire Police before midday, with a noticeable presence of police officers at the scene. It follows an incident which apparently happened earlier this morning. As of 1pm, the cordon had gone but a crime scene investigation van remained near the scene of the alleged attack.
It has been reported that a man was 'seriously assaulted' in the area but this has not yet been confirmed and LeedsLive has contacted West Yorkshire Police for a statement.
