Police have uncovered a huge cannabis factory after being called to a flat fire on Tuesday, September 27.
Emergency services rushed to the second floor of a building above a convenience store on Cowdenbeath High Street shortly after 9:30am and made the discovery shortly after.
Officers say the setup was worth £1million street value after detectives seized and hauled the drugs out of the flat. There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire, reports the Record.

Images from that morning show huge orange flames tearing through the building while firefighters tried to break into the first floor store as black smoke filled the air.
Pictures of the aftermath also showed the burnt out property standing charred and windowless as fire engines remained on scene and a cordon was erected while recovery took place and the probe began.
Police in the area have now launched investigation and are appealing to anyone who may have spotted people in and around the property before the blaze erupted.
Detective Inspector Kieran Marsh, of West Fife CID, said: “Officers continue to carry out extensive enquiries into both the fire and the cannabis cultivation discovered within the property.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have any information about this incident to come forward. I am also particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen people in and around the affected properties in the weeks leading up to the incident.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0753 of 27 September, 2022. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
