Police Scotland seize 'over £60000 worth of Class A drugs' in major raid

POLICE Scotland have seized Class A drugs with an estimated street value of £68,000 in a major raid in Glasgow.

Officers recovered a substantial quantity of heroin whilst searching a property on Glendinning Road on Monday (yesterday). 

A 38-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. She was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.

Detective superintendent Steven Elliot said: “Police Scotland is committed to removing illegal substances from our communities and we will take all measures to disrupt those involved.

"This arrest underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
