Police seek information after fatal crash in Argyll and Bute

POLICE Scotland is seeking information after a fatal road crash in Argyll and Bute on January 6.

A man, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services and a 23-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

The accident took place on the B842 road at Knocknaha near Stewarton, by Campbeltown on Monday, January 6, 2025.

The crash happened at around 4 pm when a red BMW driving on the B842 appeared to have lost control and struck two adjoining houses.

Everyone in the houses affected by the accident was unharmed.

Police Scotland opened an investigation to establish the full circumstances of the crash and officers are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.

“As our investigation continues, we urge anyone who was driving on the B842 and either witnessed the crash or has any information that may assist our investigation to contact us.

“Anyone with dash-cam or personal footage is asked to review it and please get in touch if it contains anything relevant to our investigation.

“If you have any information that could help, please contact 101 quoting reference number 1982 of 6 January 2025.”
