Police Scotland officers probed after car chase dashcam footage leaks online

TRAFFIC officers are under investigation by police standards after dashcam footage of a car chase was leaked online.

The video, filmed during a pursuit through Glasgow, shows patrol cars allegedly colliding with a Range Rover.

A 34-year-old man was arrested after his vehicle was damaged in the nearly two-mile chase, which began at around 8.40am on Sunday, November 17.

The chase reportedly started when the vehicle failed to stop in Saracen Street, Possil when signalled by officers, The Sun reports.

Several police cars, with blue lights flashing, were involved in the pursuit, which ended on Newton Street, Charing Cross.

Footage from inside one of the police cars was later shared on social media, with the Police Scotland logo clearly visible on the bonnet.

The video remains online more than a month after the incident.

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
