Police say their concerns are growing for a missing Lanarkshire man who has not been seen for nearly two weeks.

James Reid, who is also known as Jamie, disappeared from the Burnbank area of Hamilton.

His disappearace has been described by his "worried" family as "very out of character".

The 44-year-old was last seen in Eaglesham Road in East Kilbride at around 11pm on Saturday, June, 24.

He is described as white, around 5ft 9ins in height with blue eyes and short grey hair.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out to locate Jamie, however, he has yet to be found.

Officers are continuing to speak to his family and friends for additional information on where he may have gone and are checking CCTV footage from in and around the area.

Sergeant Jason Henry said: "Jamie has never been missing before and it's very out of character for him to not be in touch with family and friends. His family is understandably worried. Given that no-one has seen or heard from him since Saturday, June 24, our concern is growing.

"I would appeal to anyone who may have seen Jamie or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us. Any small piece of information could aid us in locating Jamie."

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 2469 of the 30 June, 2023.
