Police are asking drivers to avoid a busy area following a 'major' incident after a Range Rover crashed into a building. Officers were called to Finney Lane in Heald Green, Cheadle, after the car became embedded into the building at the junction with Wilmslow Road.
Pictures from the scene show the grey Range Rover after it collided into the building. Onlookers claimed the vehicle also hit a traffic light.
The incident has led to a large emergency services response, with police, fire fighters and ambulances attending. Road closures are in place as recovery work continues.

The closures are affecting rush hour traffic and police officers are having to direct traffic with the lights not working. A GMP spokesperson said: "Emergency services are currently responding to a collision on Finney Lane.

"Road closures are in place and members of the public are asked to avoid the area." Bus services are also affected by the incident.
Stagecoach tweeted: "Routes 42C/368/378/379. Due to a major road traffic collision on Finney Lane in Heald Green there will be possible delays to these services.

"The 378 will terminate at Grove Lane and the 379 will terminate at Cheadle Hulme. The 368 will be diverting via Station Rd, Ravenoak RD, Church RD, Gillbent RD, Stanley Rd and Wilmslow Rd until further notice."
